Detente

More news on the religious war homefront (or is that the religious-war-at-home front?).

Not that Mom and I ever stopped talking. My mother is very good at denial and skirting around subjects she doesn't want to talk about.  Still, she called today, and wants everyone at the house for an early dinner (or late lunch) at 2:30.  No mention of church was made (which is unusual, as she would normally ask on a Sat, "Are you going to Mass tonight or tomorrow?")

Instead Mom asked how I was doing (which is not so good, new medicine that I have to be on for 4 months, is making me queasy, though Dr said that will go away after a week or so), and cluster headache.  If history repeats itself, religion will not be brought up, nor mass etc...tomorrow.
