Wes Anderson has disappointed many with his past few films.  Unless you were a rabid stan, most people found them twee and uninvolving.  That is not the case with "Moonrise Kingdom"

I won't give too much away, and none of this could be considered spoilers, but the basic plot is that on the island of New Penzance (yes, the name of the island was deliberate), 2 tweens run away together.  The boy is an orphan who is shunned by his scout troop and about to be given up by his foster parents.  The girl is a product of a home with two estranged parents who do not communicate with her at all.

They run away on the verge of a big storm, creating their own world in a tent. (And the symbolic 'de-flowering' scene is hilarious, intentionally).

This leads the grown-ups to try and find them.

The cast is superb.  Bill Murray is back in form as an actor, not a personality.  Bruce Willis for the first time in ages (since "The Sixth Sense'?) truly acts, instead of just relying on his eyebrows and smirk.  The rest of the cast includes Frances McNormand and Tilda Swinton.

Just go see it, instead of MIB3.   Support a movie for grown-ups and that shows real human beings and their behaviour.
